Tired of Generic Beach Food?
Frozen Fish, No Flavor
Most spots near the beach serve frozen seafood with generic seasoning. You came to Hawaii for fresh, local flavors.
Long Waits, Short on Time
You just spent the morning surfing or snorkeling and you're starving. The last thing you want is a long wait for food.
Same Old Tourist Traps
Overpriced, underwhelming food that locals avoid. You want the spot where both tourists and locals actually eat.

What Taco Lovers Say
"The fish tacos here are hands down the best I've had in Hawaii. The fish was so fresh and the Surf Sauce is amazing. We stopped here after snorkeling at Shark's Cove and it was the perfect post-swim meal."
- Mike T.
"We drive from Honolulu just for the Surfin' Tacos. Everything is made fresh and you can taste the difference. The pineapple salsa is incredible and the portions are generous."
- Keala S.
"Best food truck stop on the North Shore circuit. The shrimp tacos are incredible and the Lilikoi Margarita is the perfect way to cool down after a surf session. Love this place!"
- Brandon K.
About Our Hau'ula Location
Our Hau'ula restaurant is where it all started in 2010 when Joey Fullmer converted an old building on Kamehameha Highway into the home of award-winning Baja-style Mexican food. We sit right in the heart of Hau'ula, surrounded by the Ko'olau Mountains and the windward coastline.
Visitors driving the North Shore circuit from Kahana Bay through Punalu'u and up to La'ie stop here for fresh fish tacos, and many pair their meal with a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center just 10 minutes north. Families and locals heading to Hau'ula Beach Park across the road make us their go-to lunch stop.
Inside, enjoy our full specialty drink menu, indoor and outdoor seating, and the same fresh-caught fish tacos that earned us Sunset Magazine's #1 Fish Tacos in Hawaii.
What Makes This Location Special
Our flagship sit-down restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar with Lilikoi Margaritas and Pineapple Tikis, and a relaxed North Shore atmosphere. Founded here in 2010 by Joey Fullmer.
